Oh no, not MORE things...

Harsh. Similar vibes with the only book about the "other" naturalist onboard the Beagle with Darwin....

The stunning Orion Nebula (M42) is the middle of the "sword" and you can see it as a faint splat with the naked eye. This is 7hrs 24m of data to really bring out the detail. #astrophotography

Despite the ice, water at 2.9°c, and the everlasting "joys" of #longcovid, I managed to swim this morning!

@tudorcook.bsky.social If you ignore the drunk teenagers, this is the one in the lounge. My parents repaired the arch over the bread oven.

The beautiful Horsehead and Flame nebulae in the Orion constellation. This is 8hrs40m of data from my garden. Yay! #astrophotography

Excellent. And it reminded me of this charming object from the Musée de Cluny - although I still would like to have one of these as a loo roll holder...

7hrs 45m on the rather dramatic Dumbbell Nebula (M27). This is an example of a dying red giant star letting rip with a lot of gas. Jazzy. #astrophotography #nebula

A couple of shots through my new Askar 71F scope - the moon was taken on 6th November & the swirling Triangulum Galaxy over several nights totalling 11hr44m of data, used a narrowband filter to get some of the nebulae (red and blue bits). #astrophotography

Oh no! What a threat! Because donors to the opposition and a president from the 90s are SO much more relevant that the current administration. Fucking prick.

I went away for a night. Our puppy wasn't pleased about it. #puppy #cute

Who knew that an extra 5mins or so of data would reveal so much more cool detail!!!! C/2025 A6 Lemmon on Friday night. #comet

Finished picture of comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon. Got about 5mins of usable data but it brought out plenty of cool detail. #comet #astrophotography

Sneak preview! Managed to get a few frames of comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon - processing anon! #comet

The stunning Heart Nebula in more traditional tones - this is a narrowband image composed of separate layers of H-Alpha and Oiii, obtained using a filter that only lets those wavelengths through. COOOOOL! #astrophotography #nebula

The Heart Nebula in an autumnal hue. This emission nebula is a gorgeous target and I'm really pleased with the result. I will do a 'traditional' edit so you can see the real colours too. #astrophotography #nebula

Despite stupid #longcovid I made it to the #redroses final yesterday. An amazing day and huge thanks to all the staff at Twickenham & the various train stations for helping me get there. Feel a bit like I've been hit by a truck today but so glad I went!

Proof that you don't need much to get something cool. This is 12.5mins of exposures using a DSLR, old 35mm lens, and a basic star tracker! #astrophotography #dslr #milkyway

Iris in the Darkness. The Iris nebula is a reflection nebula caused by a bright star shining through dust. There are dark nebulae here too which are too dark for starlight to penetrate. 14hrs 28mins from my back garden. #astrophotography #nebula

My 7yr old has solved the #flatearth arguments - he built this model and pointed out that now everyone can be happy. Boom.

Do you like darkness? Do you like nebulae? Then you'll LOVE some Dark Nebula action as seen here in 11hrs 24mins of data on the catchily named LDN 1155. #astrophotography #nebula

This is not a funny historical article. It's horrific. But contains a typo that made me laugh out loud far too much. It's childish. It's silly. But there it is...

The weather is suspicious. But not as suspicious as the repeated election of the same people for the same jobs. However, this was in the 18th century so it probably doesn't matter now!!!! #history #transcriptions #oldrecords
