Coaches deliver 450m journeys a year - but 97% of the public have never heard a politician mention them.

New polling shows coaches are widely used, great value, and viewed by the public as vital to the transport network - yet consistently overlooked.

Coaches are essential to Britain’s economic, social and environmental goals and make 475m journeys each year to connect otherwise hard-to-reach areas. That's why we're calling on the government to back them with the support they deserve in the budget.

Today is the start of CPT Scotland Conference and we're launching new research into bus speeds.

900k trips are made by bus in Scotland every day, but the average bus travels at just 11.3mph. Speeding up buses needs to be a priority to unlock economic gains.
