Gingerbread tea

Delightful! Thank Santa we're back to sane teas with good smells.

I just did the Starlight event for this year and I really want those mugs to be real. Like IRL real. The limsa one with the seagulls holding a wreath is just so new england coast-core...
The packet front for today just had the gingerbread tea name with this same picture so I'm opting to exclude it. Ingredients - black tea, ginger, cinnamon, orange pieces, gingerbread flavor To the right are two gingerbread man cookies, decorated in icing scarves and boots! The contrast looks better in person. I managed to take a game-leak quality picture today... Teabag I cant really see what would be orange pieces. I feel like the light bits are the ginger. The smell is much less stronger than yesterday's disaster.

EMERGENCY DAY 17 INTERRUPTION
Pu erh Hazelbery

This is dire

so im just dipping into my stock of loose leaf teas i love to save Christmas

Fell in love with this after last years advent calendar included it. Hazelnut and srawberry, yum! And introduced me to the smoothness of pu erh.
My tin of loose leaf pu-erh hazelberry - pu erh with rich hazelnut and playful strawberry (with a hint of creme) Pu erh tea, strawberries, cocoa nibs, natural strawberry flavor, natural creme flavor, natural hazelnut flavor Loose tea contents - there's the strawberries! One can probably also spot cocoa nibs maybe, to me it looks like the tea leaves lmao Ahhhh much better! I'll need to run my green tea candle to undo the smoke smell in here though. Behold my owl mug!

Vanilla Rooibos
Lounge Chair Lapsang

I'm on a 0 for 3 streak i fear. Striking out!
I don't like rooibos in general, and today's i was wary of all the cherries, bc they tend to make my mouth numb (medicine taste)

Lapsang has such a strong smoke smell it's really bothering me...

side note i used to have a speech to text thing for closed captions and most of the time it sucked but sometimes it actually managed to be coherent
speech to text capturing my mini-rant about Final Destination- my dad likes watching any of the Final Destination movies when theyre on, which always drives me up a wall. cuz i hate those movies so damn much. I'm scared of airplances, I'm scared of airplanes. I know that i DID watch that movie- it's not- it's- it's not because - if i listen to- i ALREADY was like, "i never liked airplane[s] to begin with". That movie made it like 10 times worse. It's the safest mode of travel!... except that is something goes wrong you're dead!

Count jasmine as a flavor im not really into... I drank it but honestly it has a taste like i shouldn't be drinking it, if that makes sense. Like eating a switch cart.

What a scintillating scented wind-down to a fun lil Christmas orchestra night. I have no idea what role the sunflower petals play here though

(Perhaps simply their flavors) What it DOES have- Hibiscus, apples, rosehips, orange peels, sunflower petals, lemon grass, natural fruit flavoring Our bouquet of various fruit and petal-ry, and my super cool lobster mug where instead of a handle there's a sleeve The steep is a lovely pink, as expected from the hibiscus. I mostly took this picture to show off the mug's sleeve handle.

Oolong Goddess

I do love an oolong. First tea i got into as a kid, via chinese restaurants. Yes, in fact, i was drinking oolong cha before i knew The Lore. It just made me stronger. Impervious to the Memes.

Anyway this sure is a light oolong.
Oolong Goddess. You get some images of the rolled up leaves. A lot of loose leaf oolongs tend to be rolled into little pearls that then EXPAAAND in water like those sponge dinosaurs we all had as kids. "The most famous of Chinese oolongs, rolled leaves that expand with a bouquet of soft orchids" Phone focus correctly challenge failed impossible. Heres the rolled leaves. In a bag they cant unfurl very visibly but that's ok EXPAAAAND. see, it's hard to tell hut the bag BALLOONED out. But the steep is so light...! Definitely green in looks and taste.

FUCK. It heard me bashing cardamon on day 1.
Well i guess its better without the sugar in this case.
Masala chai packet. Theres cinnamon sticks and cloves. I think. Black tea, cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, natural flavor (...of what???) Look at all this STUFF in the teabag today. Smelled very good, like the orange spice tea powder i make with tang.

Peppermint

It's like the calendar knew i really needed this today. I always appreciate a peppermint tea to soothe my stomache when it's especially hurty.
Today's packey, both named and adorned with Peppermint Caffiene-free mint leaves offer natural refreshment and spiritual lift The peppermint leaves were especially minty in the bag. Like sniffing a piece of gum. Its best practice in general not to pour the boiled water directly onto a tea bag, but it feels especially so with this tea.

Today's simple packet Irish Breakfast Premium black tea that combined sri lankan ceylon with malty indian assam ...idk about the malty tbh. Maybe this is just secretly what my usual Red Rose brand tea is so I'm used to it?

This is a green tea. No extra additions. I drink way more green tea in matcha form than simple brewed, but i do have some packets around ...

The leaves have that iconic earthy green tea smell but i can actually smell the sweetness too.
