I love this side by side shot of our second Boss, it feels so much intimidating on it's final phase. What do you think should be it's strongest move?

This is what a generated level looks like with all the gizmos and guides we use for level design and testing.

I'm kind of nostalgic for that first prototype, our game has improved so much in the past few years.

I implemented rails and mine carts into our level generation, it's kinda limited but pretty cool when everything comes together

Moving through levels with different items open up awesome combo potentials. Managing your momentum is crucial for our roguelike climbing adventure.

Here's one of the new enemies we're working on for our next big update 👀 How do you think it should attack in each of its phases?

We added a small probability for enemies to transform to a different phase when you approach them. Been trying to communicate earlier to players that the Eyes system hides all sorts of secrets like that.

Getting currency in our game can have dire consequences.

Introducing EYES: A reality-bending substance that makes the game creepier and harder the more you collect.

Here's a thread about the cost of knowledge... 👁️🧵

Offering up your hard earned Eyes to the Mountain is a great way of keeping your trek as normal as possible, what could go wrong? #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #gamedev

hi #PitchYaRogue 👋 I'm making Eldritch Climb: A Cursed Ascent, a roguelike climbing game where the more Eyes 👁️ you get the harder and spookier it gets!

My game has almost no meta-progression. Instead of getting stronger or unlocking upgrades, you uncover the story of how you got here in the first place and how to break out of the loop. Here's how we're building the story. 🧵 #indiegame #gamedev #roguelike

I've been working on a seamless transition when loading to some special scenes. Still not seamless really but it's getting there. #gamedev #madewithunity #indiegame

Our character has TWO hands he uses to climb, but he can also equip items in either of them. The decision of what to equip and in which hand is more important than you might think! Here's a thread about it. 👁️ 🧵

We are using Yarn Spinner for our dialogue system and it's been really cool to implement, the writing process specially has been really easy to iterate. #gamedev #indiegame #madewithunity

Here's a cool combo of active items, the balloon helps you move upwards while the axe allows you to hit to your right.

Finally playing MGS3 (Master Collection) after the buzz surrounding Delta made me want to check it out, I know I'm late to the party but wow, it really is a great game. I love how goofy it can be.

I've been using the Timeline in Unity to animate a tutorial that recreates the movement of the player and it has been a struggle because of the changing pivots to rotate it 😩 but I think it looks good enough now.
