Today I joined Gov. Kotek, Mayor Wilson, and others in celebrating the opening of Portland Art Museum’s Mark Rothko Pavilion.

As a member of the Arts & Economy Committee, I am thrilled about this $116M investment in the heart of D4 — the largest fundraising campaign for the arts in state history!

Last week I toured GreenWay Recycling, a construction and demolition sorting and processing facility that recovers recyclable materials such as wood, metal, cardboard, and concrete. It’s tucked into a remediated brownfield on a Northwest Portland hillside.

The Impact Reduction Program conducts sophisticated abatement work that’s just now beginning to deliver really effective results — and this reckless amendment would reverse progress, particularly in District 4. I will be voting no, and I encourage constituents to make their voices heard today.

The WNBA is returning! This is an exciting development for the City of Roses as we grow into a capital for women’s sports. I purchased my Portland Fire season tickets this weekend and look forward to joining friends and thousands of fans at the games in 2026!

Effective tomorrow, the City will resume enforcement of its Public Camping Ordinance, which prohibits camping in public spaces when people have access to reasonable alternate shelter.

Last week my team joined Governor Kotek and other leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new live music performance venue at Lloyd Center. This three-story, 68,000-square-foot venue will welcome up to 4,000 guests and create 17 full-time jobs — and it is fully financed with private dollars.

Today City Council joined Mayor Wilson and leaders at Multnomah County (Chair Jessica Vega Pederson and Commissioners Meghan Moyer and Shannon Singleton) in calling on the Trump administration to fund food assistance to prevent hardship, hunger, and suffering for 136,000 Multnomah County residents.

Last week I toured both of the Portland Farmers Market offerings downtown with Executive Director Katy Kolker and her staff. I learned a great deal about how local food is sourced, how the market operates, and how it supports access through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
