From what I can tell, the main plot trajectory of Jinx and Close Up is also very similar. Though Jinx is a little further ahead at the moment, with its top trying to make amends.

I explained the plot of Jinx to chat yesterday and the response was, rightfully, "that's every BL." xD; tbh it reminded me its coercive premise at the start is the exact same thing that kick starts Close Up.

I backtracked as far as 1st season ended. Now I plan to read from the beginning until the end of first season. At least I know there is hope for these two.

Tbh I don't get why people complained so much about Jinx...? It doesn't seem that bad to me? Is it just one of the toxic titles to go more mainstream? Maybe it's just because I read so much more that I'm used to worse... ^^;

On a separate note, I'm still obsessively returning to the thought that Lee Seodan is so stupid about love that he thinks when Han Juwon hinted he should start calling him something other than "Team Leader," he thought he meant "Master" and not just, yanno, his freaking name. xD

Yeah, that they think during a discussion about race and racism they should signal they believe there are sides to be loyal to really indicates they've picked one, and that's super alarming.

Honestly might be a good idea, since a lot of readers may get the wrong impression about him. Some have missed the more subtle notes of characterization from the novel.

Whoa whoa whoa "I can see where [your] loyalty lies" is a huuuuuge self-tell. Did they not realize what they just implied????
