Liberalism in the US is opposed to single payer, has supported every war and atrocity executed by one of their presidents, vilifies the homeless, isn't for a social security net and has done little or nothing to improve the lot of working people.

Obama vastly expanded drone warfare and was responsible for an unknown number of these sorts of strikes, killing 37 (mostly women and kids) and seriously injuring 27 more at a wedding in Wech Baghtu, as well as ordering a strike on a US 16yo in Yemen because of who his father was.

Dems did not need to stand alongside the GOP to condemn socialism last week, nor did they need to pass a motion thanking ICE at the height of the LA kidnappings, nor should they have funded and armed a genocide. It absolutely is a both sides problem.

Change ebbs and flows. Post WW2, a 95% marginal tax rate was imposed on the wealthy and a huge amount of racial and social justice was achieved.
