The Church of the Flying Spaghetti monster getting mentioned always gives me great thrill. Went out on a limb for a college essay and researched all their stuff. Just a great organization to bring us a little closer to logic.

Nice! Just got into the show in the past 2 years. Love it. Was bummed it was so short, but that made it easier to prep for a new season!

Yeah, but all the IP for a kid named Will missing from some haunted town will possibly soon be owned by the same company…

I told my parents if they feel they have trouble, don’t worry: everyone does. These companies aren’t trying to make it easier for you. They’re trying to make you so tired and frustrated with looking for what you want that you settle for what they show you. And that’s money in their pockets.

I rarely venture outside of HBO Max or Apple+ anymore, but Netflix and Prime feels increasingly more that way, especially when I go months without using them.

I was just explaining this to my parents the other day when they complained about all their recommended movies now being rentals. You’ll notice it most everywhere. The recommended section is no longer to make it easy but to generate a profit. New company movies/shows take precedence.

Right?!? Oh no, a football player left their designated little box and stepped into the other little boxed area with pure joy in his eyes. He interrupted absolutely nothing, so now we punish his entire team!

Precisely this. Friends telling me there have been so many close games every week. No shit, every time a team starts to pull away the refs start making big plays to keep it close. Can’t imagine why that might be… *gets blasted with 10 straight commercials for gambling sites*

What a well-spoken group of people with pride in the industry and admiration of the turkey. And the minions mentioned! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Love the show. A lot of thought-provoking subjects, and this one stood out big in ep 2. “We” chooses The Pirate Lady that Carol is attracted to, makes everyone happy, Mr. Diabate’s harem (sharing a single mind), the decision between the two, Carol’s last-second decision. A lot to ponder about agency

I hadn’t thought much about Carol as metaphor for the US, but I was thinking hard on how she gets upset (naturally and justifiably imo) and overloads them by directing the hate at “we,” killing millions of people she doesn’t consider human, then regretting the anger. I think this could apply.

Gotta work in the theatrics at karaoke. Makes it all the more fun. I usually don’t try G&R but I have done Mr. Brownstone, and that’s a blast to sing. You oughtta give it a shot sometime.

My favorite song for karaoke. The wigged Biz playing piano lives forever in my mind.

I got a good chuckle out of your snow straw joke.

Yeah that’s insane. And his cronies throwing around that it should happen since he “helped it get built.” What they mean is the baby will throw a tantrum about the approval if all new structures aren’t built to honor his unholiness. Every action and word out of his mouth is an act of tyranny.
