Last thing I saw was this goanna, at the campsite where I parked checking a bbq pit for scraps…

A really cool mix of dense rainforest, scrub and sprawling grasslands… the trail got kind of hard to follow towards the end and I got a bit lost but was able to find the road and make my way back to the car

There are signs on the drive in about unfenced cows so I guess these cows are ok to wander through the state forest 🤷

One weird thing about this trail was the 3 cows I saw on it! There was a metal turnstile sorta thing that I guess keeps these cows out of the actual national park.

The first section of this trail is pretty long and steep and both of these benches are super welcome moments to sit down have a drink and take in the serenity
