A main-group metal carbonyl complex: Structure and isomerization to a carbene-stabilized tin atom
In contrast to transition elements, s- and p-block metal compounds that coordinate carbon monoxide (CO) under near-ambient conditions are elusive. Here, we report an isolable, crystalline main-group m...

Room Temperature Ring Opening of Benzene by Four-Electron Reduction and Carbonylation
Cleaving a benzene ring under mild conditions requires disrupting its aromaticity, which is a significant challenge in modern chemistry. Although the generation of cyclic products from cleaving benzen...

Unsymmetrical Bis(anilido)xanthene Ligands: Development and Use in the Preparation of Magnesium Diamide Complexes
Unsymmetrical bis(anilido)xanthene ligands, decorated by a 2,4,6-tricyclohexylanilido substituent and a less bulky anilido group, are readily prepared in moderate yields from a 4,5-dibromo-substituted...

Really enjoyed reading this paper! Very interesting to see that diboraanthracene inhibits the conversion from the P4 to the P7 fragment
P4 reduction by low valent Mg(I) complexes and a Ca(I) synthon. The selectivity can be tuned with ligand bulk, metal choice and addition of dibora-anthracene (DBA). Details can be found in Chemical Science: pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a...
