Ahh yup that makes sense!

We will see how far I can push the flat files lol

I’m currently thinking purely flat files plus structured frontmatter + a linter to verify all the metadata is the right schema. That way everything can be it git

But that’s all in my head so far, we will see how it goes!

Thanks for the answers!

I like to hear it’s mostly flat files as that’s what I was thinking too for my version

Where does the server run, especially as it relates to mobile friendly? Running in your machine and vpn or such so can access from phone?

Thanks again for sharing, excited about this!

Where does the data live and how structured vs unstructured is it?

Claude seems to be really good at looking through files on disk on its own but that’s inherently less structured than DB rows for instance

Watched the video this morning and love the system! Now can’t stop thinking about making my own version tuned to me

A few questions if you don’t mind!
December 16, 2025 at 1:39 PM
Ahh yes fair! Wasn’t thinking through on delete options

For 1:1 can’t you really put the FK on either model? A nullable column with a FK from “parent” to child. Should would just as well as a FK from child to parent here I think?

Unless you meant a true 1:1, not an optional 1:1 but I find “true” 1:1 pretty rare

Not super familiar with elysia but I believe unrelated

That prototype pollution mentioned in that screenshot is also a different attack vector that what was used for React2Shell (I believe, not a security researcher lol)
December 11, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Only React derivatives, like nextjs etc.
Not other JS frameworks like Express which the PDS uses

This was explicitly a React issue, it’s just that react has a large footprint in the industry lol
December 11, 2025 at 3:08 PM
The PDS doesn’t use React at all from what I see (and matches my intuition) so believe that shouldn’t be vulnerable at all

Looks like Ozone definitely was since it’s in the nextjs stack. Was upgraded to a few days ago in GitHub

Mostly middle, but often with one “stick” like the left to use to move around the small pieces

Wanted to see and of course didn’t want you to doxx yourself lol

It’s hard to tell from the original picture, was yours this big Sam? I was picturing it smaller in my head. Super cool tho

Any interest in Sorbet or other ruby type checkers? Just curious!

I use Sorbet heavily at work. It’s definitely its own thing than “standard” Ruby but I don’t think I can go back to type less Ruby now lol

I’d say the meta programming can make the Project/App complex for sure

But the language itself is fairly simple, it just gives you a lot of freedom. For better or worse lol

I immediately went and looked up display contents. And ya that is pretty cool!

So agreed and thanks for the cool tip!
