As an old Unix/Mac guy from very early old-man days, I'd say it's the first thing in Windows to make me feel like its actually usable for something other than running 3D on GPUs, games, and I guess making windows apps, if one is into that kind of thing.

I said back when the macho wheel chair guy in Texas and the midget in platform shoes started using private bus companies to ferry their victims to Chicago and elsewhere, that the answer was to charge the bus drivers and their companies with human trafficking. It would have stopped instantly.

WSL is actually pretty cool. I generally just use my PC for playing games or using the 4090 for inference and such. Being able to install a real operating system easily that has transparency to whatever Windows is trying to be this year, the machine is actually getting used more, lol.
