At the minimum, Steam should have better restrictions on what you type in there. Devs using the plagiarism machine and typing shit like "our human creative vision is still intact" is the dumbest shit alive. You offloaded the human part to a server, fuckass.

what annoys me about all of this is that you *could* have cool, active npcs in a prime-y game. they could just as easily add to the world's sense of adventure and mystery. you need to have an interesting goal, but prime games rarely do. the writing in them only ever shrinks the world

prime games have a million things to read but nothing to communicate. there are no discoveries in the text and none of it is ever interesting. mostly they just repeat the same beats over and over. that the characters are insufferable is no real surprise. they just got away with not having to do them

my opinion re: prime 4 is that all of this has basically been a car crash in slow motion. those games have always wanted to have More Writing and More Characters. it's been a linear progression since the first one. what hasn't changed is that nobody over there has any idea what it's for

as of now we remain completely entrenched in Pharmakos, for which i would've written an update if i wasn't having so much fun making the game. if you have enjoyed imago i am certain you will enjoy that some years from now. maybe there will even come a day where you meet new bugs... one can dream...

i didn't have a lot to say about the game itself — if there was anything additive i said it a year ago — so i'm especially grateful to everyone who championed it for me and got new folks playing it. thank you so much for all the lovely comments & reviews. they'll help in ways you'll never know
