The National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) is a nonprofit association of attorneys and advocates committed to representing customers’ interests.
One year into the Trump administration and the CFPB's work has been dramatically scaled back while consumer complaints are up by 89%.

Now, when household worries about affordability are increasing, the CFPB needs to be preserved, not torn down further.

In a victory for all consumers and working people, the CFPB will be funded again, thanks to a court order.

Over the past year, the agency, which has returned $21 billion to harmed consumers, has been attacked on all sides and pushed to the brink of insolvency.

Overdraft fee income is on the rise at these big banks
Several large U.S. banks reported an uptick in overdraft-related income for the first three quarters of 2025. Economic pressure on consumers may be to blame, some banks and industry observers say.

"[Forced arbitration] strips away a veteran’s right to a public trial, forcing disputes into secret proceedings that overwhelmingly favor corporations. For those who fought to defend the Constitution, being denied their day in court feels like a betrayal of the very rights we swore to protect."
This Month of Giving, we honor veterans’ service — and the responsibility to ensure they aren’t denied justice at home.

Mike Doyle’s op-ed highlights the legal barriers many still face, from forced arbitration to the Feres doctrine.
