It’s like with names, when I have to remember them lest I embarrass myself I don’t. And then I do once there’s no pressure anymore argh

I love suits for that reason. They mean business. German/ English makes little difference as long as I don’t have to switch between them because that’s when I start to struggle ngl

There’s no way around a significant net reduction in net third world refugees if we want to get the afd under control. No way around it.

Human instrumentality would fix the loneliness crisis too, in a sense, anyway

I’m a big fan of death Korps of Krieg cloning esthetic or evangelions too

The most elegant solution is ofc to cap welfare and pension payments at 20-25% of gdp replacing the debt break or by capping welfare payments growth at half of the wage growth
October 31, 2025 at 1:17 PM
On a more serious note, I wonder if someone will actually manage to successfully table a constitutional challenge against the welfare state based on the obscene effective tax rate on the young compared to their parents and grandparents.

Communism is real and it exists for boomers. Anyone younger is doomed to 100% taxation and permanent serfdom.

Aella Diagramm. It’s shorter.

That’s where the auto liquidation comes in and as far as I understand, some crypto exchanges even liquidated non-margin‘ed positions because of other margined customers being under water. Which is wild.
Anyways, I hope no-one is insane enough to want 24/7 market hours anymore

The horseshoe theory is the only 100% empirically accurate social science theory over sufficiently long time periods
October 13, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Ground lines if it actually affected prices. Not even stupid politicians
September 27, 2025 at 6:16 AM
Energiewende is another fabulous example of why price controls really suck. The price should be representative of local supply and demand and good incentives require actual, meaningful and economically sensible price (differentials). No one would be opposing grid expansion and no one would build
September 27, 2025 at 6:16 AM
The Bundesnetzagentur prohibits this btw but I’m also a big fan of many, many price zones.
September 27, 2025 at 6:13 AM
The green energy poverty mindset is literally poverty maxxing. AC in the summer and a nice comfy home in the winter should be the goal. I’m a big believer in 600GW* average German power demand as the success criterium of the Energiewende

*10x average current demand
September 26, 2025 at 8:03 PM
I agree to the extent this can be done without frying the last mile of the grid, which I’ve become increasingly sceptical off. But that’s not a strongly held opinion of mine. If we had micro-price zones that would work tho…

The Energiewende, a history of bad incentives and foolish priorities etc etc
September 26, 2025 at 7:51 PM
And how they’re coordinating the various subsidy schemes.
September 26, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Im glad I’m not the only one who has veeeery little confidence in the Bundesnetzagentur!
