I would buy new & stacks of comics from jumble sales and fetes:
Commando, Wizard, Battle, Action, Beano, Dandy, Whoopee, Cheeky, Eagle, Crisis, many Marvel and D.C. titles both US and UK, and last but not least 2000AD.
Action, adventure, humour and sci-fi have all fed into my stories.

Stacks of comics. My bed was halfway up the wall, to accommodate the sloped ceiling of the stairs, so there was plenty of room.
In my dreams, I'd often find an Aladdin's cave, overflowing with fabulous comics. The nightmare - waking & realising my cornucopia of comics had vanished.
