They've just nicked the vulnerable road user hieararchy from the Highway Code without thinking much. Never seen anyone go to the doctor's, dentist's, shops, school, etc on a horse. Yes PROWs can be part of a transport network but not common. Biddulph Valley Way is a commuter route, but not a PROW.

Well done. When we asked for H bars by a dropped kerb some years ago, we were told they were under review re cost effectiveness. However, drivers seem to not understand them. But will put in a request again. At least some drivers know what they mean.

Are there alternative companies?

A few of these to be spotted out and about in the Congleton/Biddulph area. More places to go too now after our successful campaign to remove access control barriers (kissing gate, A-frames, horse stiles, bollards -shh dont tell @worldbollardassoc.bsky.social) jorviktricycles.com

Is there data regarding number of airport workers travelling to work from or via Macc?

How does that fit with the vision of the Local Transport Plan strategy out for consultation at the moment?

Is a 20 zone the same as a 20 limit in enforcement terms?

So your charity is really about Vision Zero rather than roads. Roads themselves are mostly safe, unless really badly designed. It's people's actions and inactions that result in crashes, deaths and injuries. Could you rebrand to champion Vision Zero?
November 17, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Yes we need people-first design and people-first management decisions and vision zero.
November 17, 2025 at 1:59 PM
We desperately need people-first highway design.
