I just saw canvas new COS and i want to fucking barf. Its mostly "ai" LEAVE ME ALONE. Holy cow. I just wanna be able to edit a photo without adobe or canva going "DYOU WANT AI TO ADJUST IT" nooooo I DO NOT. Its photo edits SUCK ASS!!!!!!

Like. Good uses of ai? Medical diagnostics, making it affordable to get a preliminary diagnosis with a certain % of accuracy, and have the patient have the option to have a human manually check. BAD use of ai? Feeding it your employees data and asking it what dept to expand vs downsize. 😒

Textblaze has me able to write and send a personalized email in LITERALLY under 30 seconds (i timed it). It takes me at LEAST 5 mins with ai, aka the SAME AMOUNT OF TIME IF I JUST DID IT MANUALLY AND ID HAVE TIME LEFT OVER. JUST LET ME DO MY JOB without AI shoved down my throat!!!

ASK IT TO ADD. They make it almost impossible to NOT click on it. Yknow what tool i DO oay for that has ai as optional? Fucking textblaze. Yes. Templated snippet shortcuts i can pee-format and if i wanted AI they have it there, but i dont, and they dont shove it down my throat

Like yes the data centers are awful, ai is killing creativity, all of that, yes agree. BUT ALSO. Its not even good!!!! Its not even accurate enough for genpop to make it worthwhile!!!! For fucks sake i lost count how many times i have to refresh my goddamn gmail bc gemini inserted a sentence I DIDNT

Ai has existed before chatgpt and no one had a problem with it back then. Most of today's AI tools are just regular-ass automations with maybe 1% extra intelligence, and i am not willing to oay 15$+ for a subscription to an ai that is literally just a rebranded EXISTING TOOL.
