August 2024 Inspiriert von Taylor Swifts Lied "Cornelia Street", in dem eine Straße zum Sinnbild für Erinnerungen, Nähe und emotionale Verbundenheit wird, entstand in Wien ein besonderer Ort: Die Corneliusgasse wurde für viele Fans zu Wiens eigener „Cornelia Street. In freudiger Erwartung auf Taylor Swifts Ankunft in Wien initiierte die Swiftie Nights Vienna Community diesen Platz. Ihr virales Video auf Social Media legte den Grundstein für den "Friendship Tree" - den Baum, an dem Fans Freundschaftsarmbänder aufhängen und im Gegenzug welche mitnehmen können. Nach der unerwarteten Absage der Konzerte bekam dieser Ort eine neue, tiefere Bedeutung: Für tausende Swifties aus aller Welt wurde die Corneliusgasse in diesen drei Tagen zu einem Ort des Austauschs, der Erinnerung und des Zusammenhalts. Der Friendship Tree steht seither für Hoffnung, Vielfalt und Freundschaft und sendet eine klare Botschaft: Hass hat hier keinen Platz. English version Inspired by Taylor Swift's song "Cornelia Street", in which a street becomes a symbol of memories, closeness, and emotional connection, a special place emerged in Vienna: For many fans, Corneliusgasse became Vienna's very own "Cornelia Street." In joyful anticipation of Taylor Swift's arrival in the city, the Swiftie Nights Vienna Community created this space. Their viral video on social media established the "Friendship Tree" - a tree where fans can hang friendship bracelets and take some in return. After the unexpected cancellation of the concerts, this place took on a deeper meaning. Over the course of three days, Corneliusgasse became a space of connection, remembrance, and unity for thousands of Swifties from around the world. Since then, the Friendship Tree stands as a symbol of hope, diversity, and friendship, and sends a clear message: hate has no place here.
