I remember reading the first issues of the original series when I discovered them, back in the late 80s. The cartoon was just gaining momentum and the comic felt so much different. Darker. This gave me the same vibe. Touching ending too.

I started this when it was released, then had to stop and just today got around to finishing it. It's a really good read that stands out among the other alternate universe takes. It's more a reflection about humanity than constant action scenes. Recommended.
