A seal was found up the Avon at a pub the other side of Bristol. It's tag showed it had travelled from Scotland. Animals move around much more freely than you can imagine. Beavers also thrive on the river Avon despite no record of any official releases by conservationists.

Bears are essentially just big mice. They can squeeze through incredibly tiny openings, often as small as a quarter of an inch (about 6-7 mm), roughly the diameter of a #2 pencil or a dime/5p, due to their flexible skulls and rib cages that allow them to flatten their bodies.
