I'm obviously not a "the computer is alive" guy and I understand how they work, but it is basically impossible to interact with latest-gen LLMs for any length of time and not be at least a little creeped / weirded out. They are just fucking spooky.

As someone who worked for half a decade on low-level email software, seeing everyone confused about the random = characters in the Epstein files is such a weird feeling, its like I lived in this private hell and now suddenly everyone is in on it.

What I'd like to see from Dems is an acknowledgement that they failed to assert that the entire "border crisis" was manufactured right wing propaganda, the USA doesn't face any serious threat from immigrants, and their policy will follow this new premise going forward. Not holding my breath!
