There we were, now here we are.
They really don't understand how democracy works, do they.

Saw this earlier. Absolutely ridiculous. If he's paid millions in tax, he'll be able to retire right now, extremely comfortably.
November 28, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Frankly her religious beliefs are irrelevant. Religious beliefs have no place in politics.
November 28, 2025 at 4:29 PM
Won't work for them at all. Property prices always rise. Any avoidance they manage is only temporary. Eventually their fake evaluation will be so far from the actual price it'll be laughable.
November 28, 2025 at 4:28 PM
They don't have time. The media are already at them. Unless they make bolder choices and make big improvements, they'll be out at the next GE. And the guy likely to win that one is going to make things ten times worse for everybody.
November 28, 2025 at 3:02 PM
Well, they're unlikely to get a second go at it in 3.5 years unless they start making some bolder choices.
November 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Would help if they a) didn't abuse the expenses system, and b) actually worked to make society better for the people. Rather than just lining their own pockets and consistently falling back on the same tired, failed policies that create the inequality we all live under today.

Setting the bar rather low there, champ.
November 28, 2025 at 8:56 AM
For context, my mortgage doubled after Truss' mini budget. I'll never forgive her. That was a couple hundred quid, it was a life destroying increase.

The whole system is a joke. Banks are laughing at us all.
November 27, 2025 at 7:44 PM
He wants us to forget that his party slowly increased the age of retirement while they were in charge while absolutely obliterating peoples ability to save money at the same time.

My prospects of retiring before I'm 75 vaporised under the Conservatives.
November 27, 2025 at 7:39 PM
But we're not Japan. We're a very different country in a different part of the world. The cultures are eons apart, especially along the lines of education, productivity and social responsibility.

The UK is heading in a very US driven direction, hostage to corporate greed, sadly.
November 27, 2025 at 7:26 PM
The consequences being a downward spiral of basic living standards paving the way for Reform.

Utterly shameful these people conned their way to power.
November 27, 2025 at 7:05 PM
This is literally basic onboard training for every new starter in pretty much every company in the UK. Bribery laws, and ethics training go hand in hand to prohibit this kind of greedy, entitled, often dangerous behaviour.

The man is a grade A moron.
November 27, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Imagine what a shit human being you'd have to be to watch members of your own family arrested under the Draconian policies you cheerlead on a weekly basis, and be okay with that.

Leavitt might be the worst one they've had, and that's saying a lot when you look at McEnany and Huckerby-Shambles.
November 27, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Don't think they conceded 3 goals on that occasion.
November 27, 2025 at 5:49 PM
None of the people cheering this on will connect those dots. The country will continue in decline and nobody will work out that self harming policies are to blame.

60m fucking lemmings.
November 27, 2025 at 1:46 PM
The consequences of driving immigration down by this much, this quickly, haven't been properly thought through at all.

Labour have just made their next 3 years even harder.
November 27, 2025 at 1:43 PM
That is exactly what we're watching, sadly. The people cheering this on haven't thought it through nearly enough.
November 27, 2025 at 1:42 PM
Got a bad feeling we're about to find out the real world consequences of driving immigration down by this much, this fast.

If course nobody within Tory/Reform (or even Labour) circles will connect the dots and take any responsibility for the results.
November 27, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Lucy White is a racist moron. The fact GB News platforms someone like this is telling.

Also, come of X/Twitter and leave the place to rot.
November 27, 2025 at 6:40 AM
The Tories had 14 years to prove to us that cutting public spending would improve the country.

Literally everything got worse, and the national debt increased massively. What more do you need to demonstrate that you cannot cut and save your way to prosperity?
November 27, 2025 at 6:37 AM
Probably the best summary of the situation I've seen so far.

The Tories came in and took a hatchet to the public sector for 14 years, cut backs after cut backs, destroying quality of life and blaming others.

Labour get, only take a pinch more from the wealthy, and they're framed as communists.
