I have to be honest, it’s sometimes disheartening knowing I’m increasingly yelling into the void, that my insights don’t matter, aren’t appreciated or welcomed, and if anything I get mostly shit, see fucking awful takes everywhere, and my corrections get me shadow banned everywhere.

There’s nothing that makes liberals rage-quit an argument more than simply stating that the USSR funded, trained, provided material assistance and logistical support to more than 50 anticolonial struggles/national liberation projects & the US fought alongside the colonizers without exception.

In my experiences, a lot of people who call themselves “Maoists,” in the west, turn out to be liberal moral crusaders, who reject dialectical materialism entirely. They don’t have a solid theoretical foundation to make arguments from, so they resort to smearing, guilt-by-association, purity tests.

In Orientalism, by Edward Said, on page 100 he claims that the Bandung Conference of 1955 was organized as a challenge to “two imperial powers: the US and USSR.” That’s interesting. I wonder how he explains the fact that the USSR at that time, in the decades prior, and equally in the decades after

I don’t know why I repeatedly come across this issue in purported Marxist spaces, perhaps it’s because many people come from radlib, (or as I lovingly call them, shitlib) backgrounds, but the dialectical materialist view on racism is that it is historically specific, not transhistorical.
