The Goonies title screen on Atari 800/XL, copyright 1985 Datasoft, programmed by Scott Spanburg Level 1, you are at the top of a house and you switch control between two characters to distract mamma Fritelli by activating a money printing machine. Both characters need to exit the level via an exit to the basement located in the fireplace on the ground floor. Level 2: All sorts of shenanigans here involving avoiding massive boulders and balancing on a floating ball over a water trap. Located in a cavern complex (presumably below the house you just escaped) Level 8: I never reached this because level 6 and 7 were really difficult. There is an octopus blocking the way out of the cavern complex. No idea how to escape this one!

It was my birthday, the only thing I could afford, and a day 1 release bug meant I couldn’t play as my character from ME1/2. By the time that bug was fixed, it was half price and everyone was moaning about the ending.
