Positive news to hear the missing Clifford Bridge Rd section approved today. A bold move from the council, and hopefully one that will allow these kind of numbers (and over time even more) to make safe bike journeys to the hospital.
On Tuesday 26/11/2024, there were at least 501 cycling trips on the Binley Cycleway @binleycycleway.bsky.social

Probably seen the Super Furry Animals about as many times as I've seen Cov play Burnley. But never Gruff Rhys solo, so tonight is at the Birmingham Town Hall with one eye on Turf Moor #PUSB

100% this. I respect the tenacity of my neighbours who organised this but I disagree with them. Feels like I am in the minority though.
I think it is worth noting that previous designs of the cycleway instead narrowed general traffic lanes and moved parking, leaving trees as they are, but these were also “rejected”.

I am afraid, the truth is, they just don’t want a cycleway.

Hundreds turn out to save 26 trees from axe in Coventry
Campaigners calling for changes to cycleway plans say the 925-strong hug broke a previous UK record.

New bike time for the boy this weekend. Worth checking out Burbage Charity Bikes if you're in the Cov/ Hinckley area. Always lots of bikes at a decent price and all their profits to Breast Cancer UK.

This is cool. Putting some stories to the usernames.
So Cov fans, shall we (re)introduce ourselves?

Where are you based and what‘s your origin story?

I’m in Heidelberg 🇩🇪 (via London, Brighton and Amsterdam) and I inherited CCFC from my dad, who’s been a season ticket holder on and off since the Jimmy Hill days. #pusb
