wow, august precip here in the southern gulf islands has equalled or almost equalled every month this year so far except march. and yes that includes jan and feb. july was almost zero precip, glad i did fieldwork then.

Spent this warm Portland Saturday working on this old dear friend. It’s outlasted a wife, many girlfriends, more than a few jobs and places to live, and still looks amazing. And we’re around the same age so get along quite well.

Canucks game on one TV, Brier on the other, plus butter chicken pizza. Not a bad BC Ferries experience. So nice to be back on the west coast. Yay Canada!
