Reform LTD are a limited company so these aren’t members participating in a political party they are subscribers to a grift. How many are genuine individuals subscribing rather than undesirable people money laundering multiple subscriptions through Reform LTD to buy political influence?

Regardless of UK legislation EVs will be the majority of cars sold in the major markets by 2029. They’re already getting cheaper to buy. They’re cheaper to run. Major manufacturers are slowing and stopping investment in ICE. Chinese manufacturers will dominate. UK legislation is irrelevant.

British person here. This firmly deletes the USA from my holiday (vacation) list. If any member of my family wants to visit I’ll not provide them with the information required to pass to the Trump administration. Sorry good people of the USA but it’s too dangerous to visit.

Could we now have some outrage from Ferrari about the ethnicity of white British born rapists not being released and widely publicise?

He must be really concerned about all violence against women.

To single out one group could be seen as racist dog whistling which, surely, he doesn’t want to do 🤔

Caller David hasn’t noticed that Farage hasn’t made a genuine believable apology for his behaviour at school. He can’t because he would insult his racist supporters by implication. Is caller David a Farage supporter?

The reports of his racism have been documented some time but this week they’ve become more ‘mainstream’. Add to this he’s been challenged by the press and his response has been aggressive and dismissive reinforcing the accusation. From now on he’s vulnerable whenever the press ask question.

The driving test booking and reselling can’t happen. You need a a learners licence and theory pass certificate number to book a test. It’s then not transferable to another learner. Us instructors only have access to the same available tests as everyone else. The recent BBC article is inaccurate.

If Reform UK LTD received £9m hopefully it will appear in their accounts and in their tax return so they pay the correct tax on it. Is it also subject to VAT? If it is that would make it a purchase, what could their customer have bought?

In the UK vehicles are registered when sold new and retain that registration until they’re scrapped. Owners can buy a personal plate and change it but that‘s rare and doesn’t count in new registrations.

I got caught out with Principal Residence Relief a couple of years ago and missed a deadline so had to pay CGT. Ouch.

I was assuming he had a home and was developing other properties. If he lived in them and developed them he’s done well. The bigger issue is why should people in expensive houses pay disproportionately less property tax than those of us in more modest homes.

I thought all the rich people would leave the country if we taxed them 🤷‍♂️ I wonder which tax haven he’s chosen.

If he’s been buying properties, refurbishing them and selling them he’s only been paying capital gains tax on his profit. Much lower tax than paying income tax and NI on earnings. About time he paid his fair share.

The next decade of oil:

Demand for oil goes down as the world decarbonises

Oil over supply so price drops

Expensive extraction loses money oil fields shut

Price instability and supply uncertainty

Petrol stations shut as transport demand declines

6 years EV driver, unpredictable ICE not for me

Radcliffe and Maconie is one of my favourite things as well. Until it’s Interrupted with race baiting headlines. Maybe the BBC could report on what’s actually making our country poorer, Brexit. £90bn makes a taxi bill look like small change.

Or even better give us news free 6 Music.
November 29, 2025 at 10:10 AM
I was dozing in bed this morning listening to Radcliffe and Maconie, a pleasant start to a Saturday. Then the news bulletin intrudes with, what I can only describe as, another racist baiting headline. Can we have 6 Music without the news headlines please BBC.
