I can see that you have got the Rude
Boy LP 🙂
How much did it cost? I'm paying £30 for mine when I pick it up next week.

Hope that you find some good stuff.

Strong contender for the best frontman I ever saw.

My late father who was one of the earliest CAMRA members always said the same about Harvey's.

He offered it to me for £30. Looking forward to getting it when I see him in a couple of weeks time.

Another good reason to visit.
December 7, 2025 at 4:56 PM
I'm really going to have to draw a line under it until after Xmas. I've still got to pay a mate for a copy of The Clash Rude Boy Soundtrack LP that came out a few months back as well.

Both new to me. It never ceases to amaze me just how many bands there were that released singles between 78-81. Plus many more that didn't. So many people had a go at playing music during that era.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm very tempted but it's not great timing as I have already spent over £100 on records this weekend.

I know Berlin quite well and have visited numerous record shops there but this one is new to me. Thanks for the tip.

Lad I knew back in the day had a copy of The Mental - Extended
Play EP. A copy is for sale on Discogs with a frayed picture sleeve for £250 😱
December 7, 2025 at 4:16 PM
I haven't come across Psykik Volts or The Plugs before. I recall seeing Jerks back in the day due to the distinctive sleeve. I wish I'd bought it now.
Thanks for the heads up I will look out for the reissue of Psykik Volts.

Newtown Neurotics are a big favourite of mine. I wish I had seen them play back in the day.
The original version of Hypocrite is worth a tidy sum now.
December 7, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Superb. I really must get a copy of this single soon.
December 7, 2025 at 10:56 AM
Brilliant,underrated and neglected (by me).
December 5, 2025 at 11:14 PM
I must lookout for this single.I recall seeing them on one of my early gigs supporting SLF on the Rough Trade tour in 79. SLF were promoting Inflammable Material.

It certainly does. The live 2019 video is brilliant. Especially the footage shot in Berlin around the time of the fall of the wall. It captures time and place perfectly. It especially resonates with me as I had visited Berlin during that era.

There certainly is. I've started and abandoned a few series.
Btw I look forward to seeing your end of year film list if you're doing it. Have picked up on a few good films from that over the past couple of years.
December 2, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Definitely. Demystification is on my wantlist but I haven't seen it anywhere for ages.
December 2, 2025 at 4:41 PM
I started watching this last night Caroline on the back of your recommendation as I have previously found your recommendations to be very good.
Very watchable so far. Thanks.
December 2, 2025 at 11:21 AM
Nice. I can't recall ever seeing this anywhere before.
December 2, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Congratulations on your nuptials.
Hope that you have (are having) a great day.

Nail and head. The level of hypocrisy is almost unfathomable.
