Illegal parkers cause problems for legal motorists as well as many other people.
We're sure it will gain widespread and enthusiastic support ;-) In particular, groups that support the cause of transport inclusion for disabled people should support this measure.

Walking, wheeling and cycling around Oxford also has become more safe, and more pleasant, with less traffic, much clearer roads, and less frustrated drivers.
Yet there are still shoppers a plenty.
It would be daft to return to the congested, polluted mess we had before.

Chris Hanson, Stagecoach West MD said "the Oxford temporary congestion charge has proven to be a success thus far, encouraging a noticeable shift towards more sustainable modes of transport".

Luke Marion, MD of Oxford Bus Company noted "noticeable reductions in traffic congestion being seen from our real-time data" and "10 per cent increase in the overall use of park and ride".

The Temporary Congestion Charge will reduce traffic, allowing better bus services, quicker journeys for key workers and emergency services, and safer journeys for all.
Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach Oxford have already announced extended and faster services as benefit.

Apologies, we feel that we've let you down in some way by not speaking today. But we are positive about the EP+ and Very positive about the s106 proposals that will bring about some significant schemes for active travel and buses, 85% funded by developers.
