The fact that many, the majority really, of profs/lecturers do not have pedagogicaly training is nuts.

One of my best profs in uni was originally a BEd grad and taught public school before doing his PhD and his assignments and lessons were legit structured for learning.

Decoding, the act of making meaning from text, is unique to physical reading. So, for folks who are high-level decoders and practice it often, audiobooks are a great supplement for consuming literature. For kids, teenagers, and many adults, books are still the gold-standard for literacy though.
