The Tea Party took over the GOP easily because it didn't pose a threat to oligarchs.
I'm not saying the left can't take over the Dems, but it'll be an uphill battle every step of the way.

Yeah, those damn Blue Helmets have overstayed their welcome in Grafton, NH. Time to kick them out.

Remember when the Mission Impossible movies briefly added him to the main cast and then just... stopped casting him?
I suspect there are ~stories~ about his on- and off-set behavior that aren't widely known yet.

Eh, it depends. An "almost won" in Texas or Georgia is different from an "almost won" in Pennsylvania or Virginia.
But Pete has always struck me as very fake. The product of focus groups and think tanks.

Wait, what? Buttigieg said that?
What is he nowadays, anyway? Is he still a figure of any importance in the party?

Yeah, I hear the same about pilots, too. If you buy a private jet, you'll be hiring your pilot from the dregs of the talent pool.

"All New Yorkers AT HEART". That part is important. It allows him to summarily dismiss any counter-examples to his point.

Remember the time they made a vanity movie about their own greatness? It made $168,832 on a budget of $32M and has a score of 0% (average rating: 1.8/10) on Rotten Tomatoes.

What happens if the US has undertaken a full-blown invasion of Venezuela by Dec 5?
FIFA will look a bit foolish awarding this prize to Trump.

I think they work backwards from the intended genre (kids' movie with musical numbers) and then find a plot that fits.
Having the characters be singers is just an organic (if obvious) way to integrate musical numbers to a movie.

Gambling, crypto and AI are def a sign of the times. We're being sold a rent-seeking, zero-sum economic system where only suckers have to actually *earn* their money via goods and services.
Why have a physical job, a people job or even an email job, when you can have a "watch number go up" job? 📈

I have complicated feelings when I see MAGA white supremacists on Xitter hurl racist abuse at Usha Vance and Kash Patel.
How much "Well, they chose their side" schadenfreude am I allowed to feel before it veers into cheering on racism?

I'd bet against it. Trump is big on nasty nicknames for individuals, but I'm not aware that outright slurs are in his vocab.
I suspect slurs are used by those who obsessively wallow in their disgust for others. Trump is too self-absorbed for that.
