i don’t know how they came up with that number. in Seattle, meta was building a campus of several buildings a few years back, and they’ve stopped AFAIK. so there was a lot of money being poured in.

Brilliant jerk - while friendly and personable was also the sort to roll his own infra, ignoring what the rest of the company‘s infra teams work so that when CompanyWide initiative X Y and Z came down we had to scramble instead of “Just Update to the latest version of this terraform module.”
