#OTD On Feb 11, 1965, the US and South Vietnam launched Operation Flaming Dart II, sending over 100 aircraft to bomb North Vietnamese barracks at Chanh Hoa and Vu Con. The strikes retaliated for the Viet Cong attack in Qui Nhon that killed 23 Americans and escalated the war.
