Even worse is the final step of recipes which say things like “mix in the cooked noodles” while never having mentioned the noodles before in any precious step.

In my experience it somewhat depends on the seed. I believe the issue is generally the moisture content of the seed that will determine its future viability. The more dried out the seeds are, the better the chance they will still be fine. (It’s the damage caused to cells by freezing/unfreezing.)

Lovely potential here. I’m starting a few cuttings of these myself from an older tree in my garden and hoping to eventually pot them up like this.
