Yeah shouldn’t these be called Gen-X shooters? Actual Boomer shooters would be copies of Asteroids or Space invaders.

That’ll be lots of children facing criminal damage charges then, these things are full of cameras.

While I agree we don’t have the pavements for these, I wonder if expanding cycle networks could help this technology do its job without interfering with pedestrians.

I feel sorry for him… but there’s a good chance he actually voted for this.

Eh? Can’t anyone have economic power… I mean wouldn’t the left protect the economic power of the working class?

Anybody else think of “bring her back”?

Ordinary girl? Let’s not forget she herself was helping Epstein “recruit” more under age girls.
Ordinary family? She accused her Dad of rape & pimping her out to his friends didn’t she? Hardly ordinary…

My idea is you have FPTP same as it’s always been, but then in parliament you weight the MPs voting power on the basis of the overall vote per party, you also allow people who wish to the ability to split their party vote and candidates vote. See my other reply’s where I have tried to explain this.
October 31, 2025 at 10:02 AM
The point is u could still call it FPTP for all the old people who like it as it would still be FPTP for the candidates.
The vast majority of people would vote for the candidate of the party they want anyway, u could have so that anyone who wanted to spit their vote logs in online to register that.

Fair point! I do agree we need a better system! But I don’t think straight PR is it!
October 31, 2025 at 7:03 AM
What I mean by weighted parliamentarian voting, is that each MP would have their voting power weighted to the same as the total number of votes for their party divided by the number of MPs that party has in the House of Commons, hard Brexit probably wouldn’t have happened under that system.

An excel spreadsheet and a civil servant? It’s easy I’ll do it.

PR-OAC even
October 30, 2025 at 7:38 PM
That’s fine but PR is not PR-OCR, Zack has to be clear what type of PR he is advocating for.
October 30, 2025 at 7:37 PM
No PR will be a terrible mess look at Europe!
October 30, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Look at how well that’s going on in France right now!
October 30, 2025 at 7:33 PM
You might think that in London but speak to anyone outside the M25 and you’ll find there is a sudden appreciation of being able to vote for a local candidate who represents the constituency.
FPTP is good for that, terrible for people’s votes counting. There need to be a compromise!
October 30, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Billionaires will just change the way they fund the politicians they want elected, they have all the data from social media, remember Cambridge Analytica?
PR means ending up with messy collation governments that can’t organise anything.
We just need to proportionally weight parliament voting power.
October 30, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Zack PR just lands us with European style chaos, a much better idea is keeping FPTP exactly the same but weighting parliamentarian power by total votes. That way people can choose to vote for parties and/or their local candidate.

Is this redundancies caused by Ai or redundancies caused by Trumps tariffs?

Given Elmo’s interest in the area of “transgender” politics, I was interested to see the entry Grokipedia has on that. If you’re looking for a good example of something that’s different to Wikipedia that’d be a good one to start with!
October 28, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Is this the new one.

Well no animals means no insects, no insects = no pollination, so that’ll be a big problem for vegans as well!
