Yesterday was UCAS application deadline for our Year 13s. Our students submitted 66 UCAS applications for 53 different courses to over 80 universities. A big thank you to all staff who helped make this happen.

Chipping Norton School remains open today. We advise students to take additional precaution for their journey to and from school and wear weather-appropriate outer layers for warmth as well as appropriate footwear (e.g. walking boots instead of school shoes).

On Tuesday afternoon, 6 students entertained the residents at the Beech Haven Care Home. They sang a selection of traditional carols, interspersed with solo items, ranging from Winter Wonderland to O Holy Night. It was a pleasure to be welcomed there again, and we look forward to visiting again!

A huge thank you to all who performed and to all who came to our Christmas Concert last night. It was moving, joyful and inspiring to see the wide range of talent coming together in harmony on stage!

We were delighted to welcome Sean Woodcock, MP, to Chipping Norton School last Friday to discuss how we can improve rural transport links and access to education. He also faced student questions covering inheritance tax, farming, cost of living, immigration, the rise of populism and climate change.

Our Attendance Elves are hard at work this Christmas as we start the annual countdown to the end of term with our "12 days of Christmas" great gift giveaway. Every day for the next 11 days a student who has earnt "streaks" since September for improved or maintained attendance is randomly chosen.
