A pretty cool moment in my tenure in TV, having a NYC Mayor sign an executive order on our air in our studio
This morning, I joined PIX11 to announce a new executive order requiring every city agency to designate a Chief Savings Officer.

Within 45 days, these officers will identify which city services deliver the strongest results for New Yorkers—and where we can streamline processes and cut waste.

Whoa. What a twist. This is Malliotakis's seat, the only Republican-held seat in NYC, covering Staten Island.
#BREAKING: Justice Pearlman has ruled that New York’s 11th Congressional District is unconstitutional under the New York constitution.

He orders the NY Redistricting Commission to reconvene and draw a new congressional map by Feb. 6, 2026.

Bichette is a totally different player with runners on too. Now he'll be hitting behind the guy that gets on base more than anyone. His 2 out splits in his career in particular are absurd

Solid grab by the Mets. Insane hitter with runners on (which Juan Soto is a lot). The Mets also now have a top 3 that rivals the Dodgers' in WAR. And is still true when you factor in Semien & Tucker. A lot depends on the bottoms halves of those lineups & pitching health

There are millions of files being illegally kept from the public by the Department of Justice that would probably answer any questions

On PIX11 at 8:30, NYC Council Member Alexa Aviles @cmalexaaviles.bsky.social joins us to discuss the detainment of a @council.nyc.gov employee by ICE.
We are doing everything we can to secure the immediate release of our @council.nyc.gov employee, who was detained today by federal immigration officials at a routine appointment, despite following the rules. We demand his return.

The NYC Council staffer being detained by ICE must be released immediately. I just spoke with Speaker Menin to express my support for her staff.

We will not stand for attacks on our city, its public servants, and its residents.

I stand with Speaker Menin in demanding answers and this employee's immediate release.

NYC will always defend the constitutional rights of our neighbors—even if our federal government and Republicans in Congress will not. Abolish ICE.

ICE snatched a NYC Council staffer following the law—going to a routine immigration appointment. This is an attack on due process, on our city, and on every immigrant here. Release them now.

Today, ICE detained an NYC Council employee during a routine and required immigration check-in - yet another example of targeting immigrants lawfully here and following the rules.

My office is working with @speakermenin.bsky.social to secure the immediate release of this individual.

A public servant was detained by ICE. Masked police kidnapping a City Council employee who works every day for New Yorkers doesn’t make us safe. Trump’s deportation agenda was never about safety. It’s about scapegoating immigrants for problems caused by billionaires. Free our neighbors. Abolish ICE.

Gavin Newsom is a favorite for the Democratic nomination for President, vowing to go against a very popular proposal among his voters in his own state. Not the best way to conjur up national (or even local) support

NYC nurses will be back on the picket line tomorrow, our sources saying hospital management wouldn't agree to bargain today or any other day after today. PIX11 also learning nurses had to train their replacements. @mayor.nyc.gov & @newyorkstateag.bsky.social on the picket line this afternoon too.

A first issue of Action Comics was sold for $15 million in Manhattan, 150 million times higher than the original sale price of 10 cents. We at PIX11 are trying to figure out how to get that kind of ROI in our lives.

When Kristi Noem came to NYC to defend ICE, PIX11 was there, our Jay Dow pressing Noem on why she was telling Americans to believe something different than what they were seeing with their own eyes.
