I love the story it tells, there are so many neat little gaps for a viewer to come up with personal ways to fill in.
But yeah it's wild considering the show it's attached to, even if a lot of the imagery is pretty standard for old sci-fi anime series and movies.

No matter how many times I've seen this ending, somehow the thing that stands out to me most is Chika wearing a bald cap under her helmet when the other girls aren't.

I feel this. I work from home out of a basement so the floor is cold practically year round and my feet get cold even with socks. 5 years ago I bought a warming desk pad that's supposed to go under keyboards to keep your hands warm and put it under my feet instead. Second best $20 I've ever spent.

It was a precon and they just just happen to find a way to do dumb stuff through me. I didn't put enough ramp to reliably give a creature flying and immediately destroy them with the Flagship, that was the deck's fault. I am but a conduit.

When you're streaming, you're also not the only focus of attention. You get to let the game, the other player(s), and even chat be the spotlight at any given moment. It's so much more flexible and that's a big draw to it, at least for me.

It's a lot of pressure constraining yourself to such a time limit, and with much less screen real estate to draw attention.

I've been here a while. It makes me enjoy the games I DO get a lot more as social experiences, but I do miss being as passionate about something as much as I used to be about Magic. Nothing has really filled that gap.

I reinstalled it Sunday night because I want to draft Avatar, it looks like a blast. Apparently I hadn't used it since January 2023.

Fruits going to people who can't use them quite right is so funny to me. Like the guy in Fishman Island with the ability to have anything he throws hone in on anyone he touched. Could be a worldclass assassin but is so creepily hung up on the princess that he is functionally stuck at 50% power.

But also, if you're ever in Atlanta, there are some wonderful places Andy and I could show you. Unless you're only in town on a Sunday. All the real BBQ places are closed on Sundays.

Those last two I didn't notice myself, they were only noticed at cleanings and I had to wait about a week or so before getting them sorted because basically nowhere around where I live does ortho anymore.

Permanent retainers are so convenient but when they break it's in such weird ways. Got mine 15 years ago and over the past 6 years the top one has:
-popped out of its cement on one side while I was at kbbq
-popped out of its cement in the middle
-frayed apart and pushed itself in between 2 teeth
-popped out of its cement on one side while I was at kbbq

Oh that's so cool that it's a built in flag now! I've been using Dark Reader for years, which I like because you can toggle it off quickly if a site doesn't play well with dark mode.
