5/6 This book grew out of symposia that we have run at every Biennial Conference on Chemical Education since 2014 and several ACS National Meetings as well. The symposium is running at the Spring 2026 National Meeting in Atlanta, and we've submitted a symposium proposal for BCCE 2026 in Madison.

4/6 I authored one of the chapters, titled "Symmetry and Spectroscopy: Development of a Guided Inquiry Laboratory Activity," and other chapters were authored by @mreeves34.bsky.social, @chemdrv.bsky.social, and many other excellent educators. #ChemChat #chemsky #edusky

3/6 The chapters are organized into sections titled Beyond Content: Expanding the Horizons of What is Important; Increasing Importance of Computation; Continued Creation of New Content Activities; and A Growing Emphasis on Scientific Communication #ChemChat #chemsky #edusky

2/6 The book (link below) follows the successful Vol. 1, which David Gardner and I edited several years ago. This new volume is substantially larger than the last and covers a wide range of topics from curricular design to individual classroom and lab activities. #ChemChat #chemsky #edusky

This seems right:
I don’t really get pecan pie as a concept, but it’s very good at drawing the safeties away from the targets I really wanna hit at dessert
