This is like when people say Mamdani are unrealistic or poorly constructed.

Sure, maybe. But the current system is so broken and the elites seem so against it changing that radical change feels like the only option.

So yea these things suck about universal healthcare, but nothing is changing o/w

No. I just don't think the Republican party can be fixed so why bother complaining. They just need to be in prison/not in office.

This would require Dems to want reform. Which it seems like they often don't as their donors are quite comfy as is.

And I still have to watch people rank Jayden Daniels over Hurts like that's a serious take

I worry that the world is on fire as is.

And that the people making the most money spend a lot of it to maintain it as is.

And that scares me. That the people with the most money in the world would rather be the fanciest guest on the Titanic than be 2nd class on a cruise that makes it.

OL depth seems like a real issue for the first time in a while for a team built around it - how many injuries can the Eagles sustain at the role and still be SB contenders, and are there any "break glass in case of emergency" effective contingencies?

Want to use rich people like me to your advantage? Incent us to help those who need it the most. Lower corp taxes for comps that pay a min of $25 per hour. Lower corp taxes if employees get stock at the same pct as the CEO.

Bottom up incentives work. Dems never innovate. They bitch

I don't think Peter Thiel is dumb, just comically evil

Not a big tech bro fan.

Definitely seen hedges more mentally dexterous than Chuck Schumer or Tommy Tuberville

I don't think half the leadership in either side of congress really understands what AI actually can and cannot do, and have no idea that they even should be implementing it

Your profile picture isn't of your face because they haven't made a camera lens big enough to fit it

I voted for Kamala because I saw the threat of a second Trump presidency.

I also understand why people sat out the election - my plan was to do the same when Biden was running.

If you'd like to blame voters instead of running good candidates, we'll end up with Vance 2028. A very sad world

Exactly. We have to actually have open dialogues. We're all Americans.

Even if you think every person who voted Trump is racist, they're not, it's not like they're going anywhere. It falls on everyone to get through to people and get them to care about each other.

Blatant corruption from one does not excuse subtle corruption from another.

Nuance is required in this sphere unless we like the "both sides yelling at each other" environment we seem to have built in the last 15 years

I'd like to see data on that

Both sides gerrymander. But yes the GOP does it's very best to suppress voters.

She lost the same election that Biden won in 2020 (who also would have lost) that Obama won in 2012 and 2008.

I mean she just lost and it wasn't particularly close

I think this is a very simplified version.

But yes I think that Biden brought normality back.

But I think the country did little to actually combat the cause of Trump - and I think there was a little too much "we beat him and now he's gone forever"

I'll read into it more. Thanks for the thoughts!

That seems to be closer to where I fall nowadays.

The biggest question I struggle with is how to develop a white line for market intervention. Too much defeats the point. Too little creates monopolies and unfettered billionaires. Where is the line and how do you determine it?
