Both of my boys came from rough beginnings, and I just love them. They are so sweet and affectionate. Both had been socialized, so that made a huge difference in bonding with them, but ferals can be so sweet with a little patience. 😻

I’m solo this Thanksgiving, so I’m making some osso buco for myself. It’s simmering on the stovetop for a bit and then I’ll put it in the oven.

5 months ago I collapsed in my doctor’s office. I was severely anemic at 7.6. I had a blood transfusion that day. In April, I had major surgery to remove what was causing me to lose blood. I feel like my old self now. Listen to your body, ladies. If you’re hemorrhaging, that is NOT normal or ok.

To everyone lecturing the rest of us about how big LA is: we KNOW. Travel exists. There are things called airplanes that move people to other places reliably and quickly. We know the whole city isn’t involved. No need to “educate” us. Thanks.

I’ve been watching SVU all day on USA, a typical Sunday for me. Instead of rape and murder, they showed an episode from Covid. A character had to say goodbye to her mother over FaceTime and I had to turn it off. That’s exactly how I lost my mother.

My dinner last night. This cost about $10 to make. I added a bulb of garlic and some red onions. No salt needed. The feta takes care of that. It was delicious.

If you struggle with insomnia like I do, I highly recommend giving Trazodone a try. It’s not the glory of Ambien, but it works (for me). I slept for 7 uninterrupted hours, and I feel great.
