I talk about sports & EV’s to escape the reality that I live in a country that elected Donald Trump as President for a second time.
If they don’t offer the “base model” until ‘28 it will mark a marketing / sales blunder of epic proportions.

Let’s assume the tax credit goes away. Is $45k still attractive to mainstream America? Upgrade paint & interior and you’re at $50k with destination included. Price tag probably still works in high cost of living states, but $50k is a lot for a car in “middle America”.

I think they will stay consistent with R1 & have three offerings. If they want to appeal to the mass market & current ICE owners, the $45k standard pack needs to hit that magic 300 mile number. I don’t think 270 cuts it in ‘26 if you truly want mass appeal. Large = 350, Max = 400

When do you think we start to see more of R2 in 2025? ie, more demo models available at Spaces, more product details, etc

Will this affect the current NEVI rules? Will a CCS plug remain part of the requirements?

I’ve gotten in the habit of checking both apps but I only try to engage on this one. Trying to make it more of my routine. Goal is to drop X completely once I’m confident I’m not missing out on anything.

Very well said. You hit the nail on the head.

Has Kevin Sorbo or Scott Baio ever played an attorney on television?

Your new R1T. 😬

That Carvana interest rate is insane - who would agree to that? Crazy that 6.24% is now considered “pretty good” for an auto loan.

One element I don’t think enough people are talking about - used EV’s. Removal of the tax credit will drive more buyers towards pre-owned inventory, which already offers tremendous value. As more & more EVs come off their lease in ‘26 & ‘27 used inventory levels should continue to increase.

As a Kentuckian, nothing is more embarrassing than West Virginia being more ahead of the curve than my state. West Virginia! 🤦🏻‍♂️
