It may have even been dormant for a while before it ran the attack to change passwords and spread. But anyway, I'd try their support, they'll probably help you fast. They helped me within an hour or so. Unless Elon got rid of all of the useful stuff, lol

These sorts of things are 9/10 times almost completely automated. There was either an email or a site that somehow got you to log in and they hijacked that. Then another script would be going through followers and followees and sending messages to get them to log in and keep the cycle going.

I don't know if Elon fired them yet, but they may still have a pretty great team of helpful support people. I am not even a paying customer and they helped me get into my account after I lost my method of 2FA. Just tell them and they'll let you back in I bet.
