Started my 3h30 drive back from Luis’, only to realize 45 minutes in that I didn’t have my wallet. So, now I’m backtracking and so annoyed I could cry cause I just wasted gas and time and i’m gonna get back to orlando like 2 hours later than planned

There’s something so timeless about a lot of Edith Piaf’s lyrics… like it’s crazy that in 2025 I am identifying with lyrics that she sung 75 years ago.

So I’m very good at recognizing that my nervous system is out of balance (like i’ll be like “oh, this random song has me SOBBING. My nervous system is def out of wack” but I’m not good at actually doing something after I recognize it. I just kinda just exist until it balances itself out again.

I learned Spanish entirely by just speaking it at work and learning by trial and error and I am on my way to doing the same with Haitian Creole, which is exciting! it definitely helps that I know French already, of course, but it’s still yet another example that immersion works wonders.

they turned on mandatory 6th days for the foreseeable future at work and unlike voluntary overtime which goes from the top of the seniority list down, involuntary overtime goes from the bottom up which means me with my measly 4 years will be working 6 days a week for the foreseeable future.

the only downside to sharing a Switch 2 / new games that come out on it is that I can only play it when I’m up with Luis and end up missing a good deal of time-sensitive events and promotions.
