ChatGPT offered, I'm not sure why 🤷
A ChatGPT-generated image of a brown office desk with a keyboard, monitor, and minicomputer sitting on top. It's meant to represent a VT100 terminal and a DEC PDP-11 minicomputer. Text on the screen and the front of the computer are garbled as we've come to expect from diffusion-generated images.

Current state of Claude/my prompt skills: I can't get Claude to generate an svg for log-log graph paper. If I show it its own output, it tells me it's wrong but can't fix it.

It can generate a Python script to generate the svg, though. I just had to flip the vertical spacing.
One decade of Claude-generated "log-log" graph paper. I'm not sure if there's rhyme or reason to the uneven spacing of the closer lines, but they're hard-coded so I also can't check. The top of the decade has the widest vertical spacing. A decade of log-log graph paper generated by the Python script Claude generated almost single-handedly. Looks good to me.

Actually, two. Two of these things. Wait, three? The others are now diluting my enjoyment of the standout.
Google results for "Cooking verbs" with images to illustrate each action. Except "melt" shows ice cubes sitting in a glass, "slice" is a slice of bread, and "steam" is the logo of the game platform.

Writing alt-text inspired me to practice my skills of description on ChatGPT. It's a different skill when your reader doesn't understand "three" or "no wings" or "top hat"

You can tell a model to lift a section of an SVG and put it into another one. Not quite predictable, but more deterministic than a diffusion process.

Now it's art :P

Inspired by @simonwillison.net, a pelican on a bicycle by Claude 3.5 Sonnet (but with follow-up prompts). I can't pretend it's art, but it is charming to me that Claude and I agree that everything in this image is a thing--and we both know where it is. Even if we don't agree on what it looks like.
