Many medical issues can show changes in the eyes. Screening and prelim diagnosis is high priority in their training. Broken blood vessels in the eyes can indicate diabetes etc. A friend in the UK owned 2 eyeglass franchises. Opticians have to pass ophthalmic/medical biology exams to be licensed.

Well POTUS robbed the banks and cheated and defaulted, why can't I? If you arrest me I'll just claim I was encouraged by POTUS and his posse, is that cool? Yeah... No I don't have $1 million on me, but I can write you a check and gladly give you a sob story about being victimized. Whatcha think?

Opticians are the first line to f defense in a lot of life threatening illnesses. I've known one or two who suspected brain tumors, and immediately referred patients saving their lives. Always, always better safe than sorry.

I was months away from finally getting much needed back surgery, when out of the blue, the neurosurgeon contacted me and said I was no longer a patient because they couldn't come to a contract agreement with my insurance. 18mos of tests and referrals down the tubes.

My first thought exactly. And the Leavitt family can hold their hands up and say, "there's nothing we can do if she is deported. No one is above the law." honestly don't see WH pulling strings to release her. It's a family power play to sideline the mom.
