While this scandal relates to liquid biofuels, the same rules around accrediting and monitoring (or rather not monitoring) sustainability certification for wood #biomass, too.

The refinery and the company behind it don't exist. No evidence that the certified trader exists either. While the certificate has been suspended, the responsible certification body, Certi W Baltic, has not. Yet fuel certified as coming from the non-existen refinery was shipped to Rotterdam...
