We held a creative & imaginative zine-making workshop, as well as an insightful tour into the day of the life of a solicitor.

Last week, the CEJ attended the national climate demonstration to demand Government climate action that addresses inequality.

🎉That’s a wrap on CLM's 2025 Legal Eagles programme!

We wrapped up on Monday with an engaging mock trial at the Law Society of Ireland, centred on the exciting Ciarán v Jack Debs case.

The students from Mercy College Coolock threw themselves into their roles brilliantly.

A publicly available online database of the SWAO, similar to those of the International Protection Appeals Tribunal & the WRC would significantly improve transparency and provide assistance in the resolution of cases & in the appeal process.

According to the the report, the average time taken to process an appeal jumped from 16 weeks in 2023 to 23.5 weeks in 2024.

The issuing of a decision in a timely manner is the cornerstone of a fair and due process and must be prioritised.

The latest Annual Report of the Social Welfare Appeals Office has been published.

In 2024, the overall success rate of all appeals (including revised decisions) was 47.7%. Where an oral hearing took place, 62.3% had a favourable outcome.
