Here's a hypothesis supported by this evidence: AI is a shortcut for incompetent people trying to replace the learned skills of competent people.
AI is mediocrity usurping expertise, a perfect paragon of this benighted age.

In 20 (or 40!) years you may look back on the child who wrote it with fresh perceptions & insights that resonate unexpectedly. What I myself wrote (or drew or painted) at 10 or even 20 wasn't "good," of course, but am sorry to have grown embarrassed and tossed so much.

ICE is struggling to hire officers — even after lowering its standards
